Miavana
Escape to the extraordinary.
Island Sanctuary
Welcome to Miavana
At around 10 square kilometres in size, Miavana is an intimate haven of time and space, a chance to escape and unwind.
Madagascar has been called the land in a forgotten sea. It’s the fourth biggest island on earth and has a number of small peripheral islands off its coastline. With an unparalleled mixture of endemic wildlife and plant species in a variety of habitats from forest to reefs, Madagascar truly is one of the greatest biodiversity regions on earth.
Time + Tide’s family-owned properties are pioneers in luxury safaris in Zambia and an exclusive island escape in Madagascar. We have a legacy of responsible tourism and offer modern-day explorers the luxury of space and the chance to feel truly alive.
Ease of Access
Arriving by air, and only by air
Access to this private island is exclusively via helicopter from either Diego Suarez (Antsiranana) or Nosy Be airports.
- From Diego Suarez (Antsiranana) A 30-minute helicopter transfer brings you directly to Miavana.
- From Nosy Be A 60-minute helicopter flight offers a scenic journey to the island.
Miavana operates one Robinson Turbine R66 helicopter, which takes a maximum of 3 passengers and flies with one pilot, and one Airbus H130 helicopter, which seats up to 6 passengers and one pilot. The specific helicopters used for each routing are determined by our operations team. Unless specifically booked, all helicopter transfers may be shared.
Helicopter seats operate with a maximum weight allowance, please ensure that you share each passenger’s weight prior to arrival, so that our pilots may calculate the totals accurately. Should a passenger exceed the maximum weight allowance, a second seat may be charged.
Miavana provides a Meet & Greet service to assist with visa procedures and facilitate a seamless transfer to the helicopter. Visa fees are included in this service. Finalised arrival transfer times will be confirmed no later than 14 days prior to arrival.
